I recently graduated from the University of California, San Diego, and currently work as a software engineer in the San Francisco Bay area. My hobbies include general geekery (fooling around with software / hardware, trolling the internet), building things, and getting outside via running, hiking, or cycling.

I participated in Google Summer of Code 2007 under OSGeo's GeoServer project. Here are archived copies of my statement of interest and project proposal. Thanks to the folks at The Open Planning Project for running with the idea, cleaning up my messes, and advancing the project into a real product -- GeoWebCache.
